Active discussions

I feel like the current duration of action values for inhaled nicotine are inaccurate, as from everything myself and my peers have experienced, nicotine acts significantly shorter. Subjective psychoactive effects are all basically gone after 30 minutes max from everything I have seen, heard, and read - and this value is still a high-end that would only apply to sensitive users without tolerance at high doses. Because of this, I've changed the total time on the SubstanceBox to 30-60 minutes, and the offset to 30-60 minutes as well. The afterglow I kept as is because it seems to accurately describe the amount of time until a person addicted to nicotine would need another consumption. These values aren't perfect, but I believe they much more accurately describe the compound. However, I believe a discussion should still be had on what the best choices would be.

Warning is warranted, but the assumption that nicotine patches are non-carcinogenic is not.

The skin is an organ that is susceptible to cancer from topical carcinogens, and regardless nicotine would still metabolize into this purported carcinogen even via this method of administration. There is no reason to assume that topical administration is risk free with regards to cancer risk.
