Author names assigned to |authors= (or any of its aliases) are not made part of the template's COinS metadata. For this reason, use of |authors= is discouraged. The enumerated author list parameters |authorn=, or |lastn= / |firstn=, or, where appropriate, |vauthors=, are to be preferred. Pages in this category should only be added by Module:Citation/CS1.
