List of psychoactive substances derived from artificial fungi biotransformation
List of psychoactive substances derived from artificial fungi biotransformation. These are novel psychedelics with no human safety data available.
- 4-HO-DET and 4-PO-DET mushrooms derived from Psilocybe cubensis mycelium in substrate with added DET.[1][2]
- 4-HO-DiPT mushrooms derived from Psilocybe cubensis mycelium in substrate with added DiPT.[3]
- 4-HO-DPT mushrooms derived from Psilocybe cubensis mycelium in substrate with added DPT.[3]
- Baeocystin (4-PO-NMT) found in Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms from mycelium in substrate with added NMT.[1]
Substrates suspected to produce neurotoxic compounds
4-PO-5-MeO-DMT and 4-PO-5-HO-DMT may be neurotoxic
Compared to related indoles and tryptamines lacking substitutions at the 5,6-position, these new molecules might possess neurotoxic or convulsive properties due to their structure, suggesting potentially shared negative effects.
- 4-HO-5-MeO-DMT (psilomethoxin) mushrooms derived from Psilocybe cubensis mycelium in substrate with added 5-MeO-DMT.[4][3]
- Uncertain outcome: There's no guarantee this modification will create the intended compound 4-PO-5-HO-DMT (psilomethoxin). Research (see a 2023 preprint) hasn't been able to confirm psilomethoxin production in lab settings.
