Some Phalaris species contain gramine, which can cause brain damage, other organ damage, central nervous system damage and death in sheep.[1]

Phalaris aquatica (also known as P. tuberosa, Bulbous canary-grass or Harding grass) is a plant in the Phalaris genus. It contains approximately 0.100% DMT[2][3], 0.022% 5-MeO-DMT[2][3], and 0.005% bufotenin.[3]
