Background
I have never done amphetamine before. The only stimulant I've taken before this experience was caffeine. I do not have any prescribed medications, nor do I have any diagnosed mental illnesses. Going into this, I was expecting to be put into an uninterrupted trance of productivity and focus. I was very excited, stress free and enthusiastic. The setting was my home, I spent most of the time in my bedroom, which is 120sqft (~11m²). My room has a desk, a dresser, a closet in the wall, a recliner chair, some shelves and a bed. My mother and sister were home with me at the time, I didn't tell them what I was doing, and from what I could tell, they didn't alter my experience. I had a loose goal for this trip, which was to clean my bedroom and then organize all of my belongings. I needed to move to a different city and have been procrastinating for months
Report
T + 0:00 (8:40am) - I poured 15mg of Amphetamine into half a glass of water. It's taste is fairly distinct, I can only describe it as chemically, I guess? Imagine if you took the bitterness away from a tryptamine, that's what amphetamine taste like. Right after drinking it, I made breakfast.
T + 1:35 (10:15am) - I finally begin to feel some effects. I'm writing this extremely quickly, although after bringing this thought to my attention, my pencil slows down a little bit. I'm beginning to feel a sense of accomplishment, which is coming seemingly out of nowhere. I also feel more inclined to do things I wouldn't normally do willingly. Music felt kind of bouncy, everything made me want to dance around. it was time to start cleaning my room.
T + 2:34 (11:14am) - I'm taking a quick break from cleaning to try and do some pull-ups and push ups. A friend of mine had told me exercise felt effortless on amphetamine. I can typically only do 4 pull-ups, and around 15 push ups in a set. I was able to do 8 pull-ups, followed immediately with 18 push ups before needing a break. Double the amount of pull-ups! The break also felt shorter than usual. Normally, cleaning is fairly therapeutic, and when you're done, it's rewarding. However I found it to be rewarding the whole way through instead of just at the end. Moving something from one spot in my room to another felt like solving an extremely difficult puzzle. I also found the organization process quite a lot easier, I was able to better assess and sort things into categories. This was particularly intriguing to me, as I've never experienced analysis enhancement this way before. I'm more used to the analysis enhancement from psychedelics like LSD and 4-AcO-DMT, where it's specifically centered around big picture stuff about your immediate, present surroundings or yourself. With amphetamine, I felt like I was able to control what the contemplation would be based on, in this case, figuring out what to do with all the stuff in my room. It was very helpful.
T+ 3:00 (11:40am) - I find it hard to believe it has been 3 hours already. It feels like I made breakfast 15 minutes ago, but at the same time, it feels like I ate breakfast about 3 or 4 hours ago. At this point I was basically done cleaning and organizing all my possessions.
T+ 4:00 (12:40pm) - I am beginning to feel less stimulated. In this hour I organized all the miscellaneous files and folders on my computer, put some clothes and other stuff on eBay, scanned a bunch of old drawings and other papers from my room onto my computer, all without getting distracted once. It would probably take me about an hour and a half to do this stuff normally, so it was faster, and much more rewarding, efficient and enjoyable.
T+ 5:29 (2:09pm) - I feel pretty much baseline at this point and want to see if caffeine will do anything. My caffeine tolerance is extremely high, I usually drink 2-3+ cups a day (~190mg-240mg), plus an espresso or two on top of that. To my surprise, the coffee started to make me feel a little stimulated again. However, I was getting sidetracked and distracted.
I slept just fine the night of and felt perfectly fine the following day.
