Summary sheet: DHEA

Template:SubstanceBox/DHEA

Dehydroepiandrosterone, ("DHEA"), or prasterone is a steroid hormone sold as a dietary supplement in the US. It is a prodrug to androgens and estrogens as well as being active in its own right, and it is also a neurosteroid. No real long-term safety profile has been established, but is predicted to be very safe, having usual steroid effects.

Disclaimer: The effects listed below cite the Subjective Effect Index (SEI), an open research literature based on anecdotal user reports and the personal analyses of PsychonautWiki contributors. As a result, they should be viewed with a healthy degree of skepticism.

It is also worth noting that these effects will not necessarily occur in a predictable or reliable manner, although higher doses are more liable to induce the full spectrum of effects. Likewise, adverse effects become increasingly likely with higher doses and may include addiction, severe injury, or death ☠.

Discussion

Should dehydroepiandrosterone be here? I'm not sure if it's psychoactive (stimulant, depressant) etc. but it seems interesting.

The wiki does not have the raw informational framework to host this particular drug entity at the moment. It will likely be included in very distant future iterations. Thanks you for bringing this up, though Clarity (talk) 00:45, 30 July 2017 (CEST) P.S. I misread the title and thought this was initially a page for EAPB, which I was totally down to cover, heh.
